Making every shift safer, fairer and quicker to fill
Across Zimbabwe, wards run short, pharmacies need weekend cover and families look for someone trustworthy to care for a parent at night. At the same time, skilled nurses, doctors and carers want extra work on their own terms. MedSkift puts the two together, with verification at the centre.
Why we built it
Short-notice staffing should not depend on who you know
Filling a gap in the rota still usually means a chain of phone calls and WhatsApp groups, with little way to confirm that the person arriving is registered, current and who they say they are. Health workers, in turn, have no easy way to show their credentials once and be trusted everywhere.
MedSkift is the missing layer: every worker’s identity and licence and every employer’s registration is checked, rates are agreed in the open, and a booking is a clear record for both sides. Employers pay a flat fee per booked shift; health workers pay nothing.
We are starting in Zimbabwe, and the platform is built so that professions, regulators and documents can be configured for new countries later.
