Do health workers pay anything to use MedSkift?
No. MedSkift is free for health workers: no sign-up fee, no subscription and no commission on your pay. Employers pay a flat booking fee when they book a shift.
How do I get paid for a shift?
The rate is shown on every shift before you apply, per hour or per shift. Your employer pays you directly, the way you agree with them. MedSkift never handles or deducts anything from your wages.
What do I need to get verified?
A quick identity check with your national ID or passport and a selfie, done through our partner Didit. For licensed professions you also add your council registration number and current practising certificate. Caregivers and nurse aides add a qualification and a police clearance.
Who checks my documents?
A member of the MedSkift verification team reviews every document by hand and checks registration numbers against the relevant council, such as the Nurses Council of Zimbabwe or the Health Professions Authority. You get a notification as soon as a decision is made.
What happens if I cannot make a shift?
Cancel in the app as early as you can so the employer can find someone else. Cancelling less than 24 hours before the start, or not turning up, counts as a strike. Three strikes within 90 days pauses new applications until our team has reviewed your account.
