A shift marketplace is only as good as the people on it. This is exactly what we verify, who does it, and what happens when something expires or goes wrong.

Health workers

Two checks before anyone can apply

A health worker shows as verified only when both are complete and nothing required has expired.

1. Identity, confirmed by Didit

The worker photographs their national ID or passport and takes a live selfie in Didit’s secure flow. Didit confirms the document is genuine and that the face matches. We keep the verified name, date of birth, document type and the last four digits of the document number. The images stay with Didit; MedSkift never stores them.

If the verified name does not match the profile, our team looks into it before approving.

2. Credentials, reviewed by our team

Licensed professionals upload their registration certificate, current practising certificate and qualification. A MedSkift verifier opens each document, checks the registration number against the council’s register and confirms the expiry date, then approves it or explains exactly what needs fixing.

Caregivers and nurse aides upload their certificate and a current police clearance. Every decision is recorded.

Employers

Organizations are verified too

Health workers should know who they are walking in to work for. An organization can draft shifts at any time, but can only publish them once verified.

Business documents

Hospitals, clinics, pharmacies and care homes provide their registration and operating licence; agencies their incorporation and tax clearance.

Owner identity

The owner of every organization completes the same Didit identity check as health workers.

Families

Individuals hiring care for someone at home verify their identity. Their home address stays hidden until they book.

Expiry monitoring

We remind people 30 and 7 days before a practising certificate, licence or clearance expires. On the expiry date the account is suspended from applying or publishing until a new document is approved.

Contact details protected

Before a booking exists, phone numbers, emails and messaging links are hidden in chat automatically, so nobody can be poached or spammed.

Two-way reviews

After each completed shift, employer and worker rate each other. Ratings are visible on profiles.

Reliability strikes

Late cancellations and no-shows count as strikes. Three within 90 days pauses a worker’s applications until our team reviews the account.

Report a problem

Any message can be reported. Our support team reviews reports and can suspend accounts that break the rules.

Staff access is audited

MedSkift staff sign in with two-factor authentication, and every verification decision and account action is written to a permanent audit log.
